I am a Scottish novelist and freelance writer based in central Scotland. I now write contemporary and historical fiction, with occasional short stories, children's fiction, articles and poems.

 

Many of my short stories, articles and a few poems have been published in UK magazines, the US, and online. Some of the short stories have won awards. I'm an experienced adjudicator for writing group competitions and at the SAW.

I've also been a mature student, gaining a Diploma in European Humanities, and a BA Honours in Literature and History, which included studies in philosophy and art history. I then went on to gain a post-graduate MA in Humanities from the OU. As well as the literature and history, it included British Cinema History. All subjects of use to a writer of historical and contemporary fiction and articles!

 

Scotland greatly inspires my writing in all genres. I love to dance!
