Now that we’re over half way through the year, I’m finally getting my writing organised again. As the weather cools, my energy levels rise!
I haven’t been idle, however, as we’ve had a lovely holiday and days out, plus I had another story accepted by The People’s Friend, to be published around Christmas, and one of my poems was shortlisted in Writing Magazine’s Spotlight – a monthly competition for subscribers.
At last, my short novella, Viennese Sonata, is now published as an e-book and the paperback should be available soon. I love Vienna after we had a holiday there some years ago and I always wanted to set a story there. It was too long for a short story but too short for a novel, so this seemed the right length.
Viennese Sonata
Sometimes the past is the way to the future. This is a warm-hearted story about lost love and second chances in the beautiful city of Vienna.
A letter from the past sends young widow Lisa on a visit to Vienna, combining it with her further studies on Mozart. Lisa soon uncovers a family secret and finds an unexpected second chance at love.
Hopefully, I’ll now get on with the other novella and full-length novel awaiting further editing and publication!
